This hotel is exquisite! The furnishings are first rate, the bar is fun and often crowded with attractive people, and the shower is wonderful. Actually, wonderful is an understatement when describing this shower since it has 5 shower heads and it dumps so much water on you that you feel like you just finished a professional massage.

There are other fine hotels across the country that offer fantastic showers, beautiful bars, and top-notch furnishings. But those hotels tend to be in very large metropolitan centers or resort destinations, not in a town that grew on the banks of the Ohio River.  They also don’t have the free parking that is available at this hotel or the warmth and friendliness of staff that is unique to southern Indiana.

This site is dedicated to discussing places to visit on vacation but maybe we should consider Le Merigot as an evening vacation as we just try to get through the dreariness of life (and it definitely beats staying at the Holiday Inn Express).
