The Weather Channel has compiled a great list of the worst airports in the US for weather delays (along with reasons why they made the list). Here is the list, you can click each one to go to that particular city.

One thing to remember on weather related flight problems, it is often not winter that is disruptive. While snow storms will tend to close an airport for long periods and allow TV stations to show video of stranded travelers, sometimes the summer is worse. Thunderstorms are highly disruptive – they move ground crew inside for fear of lightning and they cause planes to talk long trips around the storms.

While it may be advisable to avoid these airports, with the exception of maybe #10, they all tend to be major destinations and transfer points. It may be impossible to travel without touching these airports or being affected by delays that they have.

The venerable Wrigley Field is synonymous with baseball. Located on the north side of Chicago it is well known for its ivy-covered walls, formerly lack of lights, and the seats across the street in the outfield. It is the second oldest park in major league baseball and few people that visit the old park can leave without a level of respect and admiration for this American landmark. It is a must visit for any baseball fan or fan of baseball parks.

The 41,000 plus seats in the park are tight. It is sometimes hard to watch the game if you are far back in the stands due to the pillars that hold up the upper levels. But with its few negatives the glory of Wrigley park make it one of the most enjoyable places to watch a baseball game. You can still feel the ghost of Harry Caray whenever “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” is sung during the 7th inning stretch and his statue is on the grounds of the stadium (see photo).

To keep to its long-time heritage, the scoreboard is still operated by hand. The field is grass (of course) and is laid out like an old field should be and the new stadiums try to emulate.

This park is an original. It is must visit for you and your family.
